Boy! Christmas DID come early!
My copy of "Shepherd of Love" arrived today in the mail. I immediately headed for the CD/Stereo system to listen. My wife and I played it twice. It is fantastic. My favorites so far are "He'll Have to Go," "Billy Bayou," and "Is It Really Over?" These three at a slower tempo and a different phrasing is a treat when you know the original RCA versions so well. None of the selections are bad.
One of my favorites has been "He Will" ever since the "My Cathedral" album was released back in 1967. I love the new version as well. The only problem with both the RCA version and this version is that I still can't understand the line(s) when Jim sings "HE WILL take you by the hand and lead you as you were a child, down this straight and narrow aisle through Satin's (What?)
Thank you Larry, Julie, and Voice Masters for the excellent and Wonderful Christmas present.
May all of you, those listed just above and all who do postings and read them have a very joyous and blessed Christ filled Christmas!
