Hello and Merry Christmas!
I arrived home at 4pm (EST) today and found a special present in my mailbox from Santa and VoiceMasters. I secretly think that Santa's real first name is Larry?
Anyway if you haven't made the effort to purchase the new Jim Reeves CD you are doing yourself a great diservice.
This is the 11th offering by producer Larry Jordan and issuing label VoiceMasters. I must say that this CD has surpassed my expectations by many leaps and bounds of Santa's reindeer lead by Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!
Speaking of Rudolph, Jim breaths "new" life into the old Johnny Marks chestnut. Not since Gene Autry's 1957 re-recording has this song been given the treatment that it deserves.
"Distant Drums" is absolutely breath taking as are "Is It Really Over" and "He'll Have To Go".
The addition of the dobro on "I'd Rather Not Know" and "Lonesome Waltz" are a new and welcome addition to Jim's music.
All the tracks on this new CD are, to say the least, outstanding. This new group of songs is well worth the purchase price and will be enjoyed for many years to come.
Delay no longer order this masterpiece now!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,
Bob Chudicek
