I just finished listening to the new VM cd "Shepherd of Love". It had been awhile since the last cd but it was definitely worth the wait! I recall the first time I heard the RCA take on "Distant Drums". Quite frankly, even though the vocal was fantastic, what RCA did with/to it wasn't. The VM treatment finally gives the vocal what it needed and is, in my opinion, one of the standouts on this cd. I never particularly cared for "I Love You Because" but I must say I really, really like the VM version. "He'll Have To Go" is one of my favorite JR songs but I had heard it so many times, I didn't think I really needed to hear it again. I was wrong. "Pride Goes Before A Fall" is another standout. I could go on and on but anyone who has ordered the cd will find out for themselves what I am talking about. The cd is fantastic. I know the material will eventually run out, but I hope not for quite awhile (where is all this material coming from?). Anyway, kudos to Larry and VM.
