Greetings from Music City,
Just a few lines to let you all know we're in the Music City again and got to see the Opry Sat night at the Ryman, quite an experience! George Jones wes the headliner at the 9:30 show and we were in line to get in when he arrived in a white Range Rover. He was just a few feet away from us. Trace Adkins, Connie Smith, Marty Stewart, Little Jimmiy Dickens, Jean Sheppard, Hal Ketchum, John Conlee and Dierks Bently were also on the show. We had a Grey Line Tour of the Stars homes yesterday, and got to see Alan Jackson's 24,000 sq.ft home with a 19 car garage, among many others on the south side of town (the really rich part - Brentwood, Forrest Park, Bellemeade, Franklin Pk area), not very far from the crash site. We will be going to the Rockettes Christmas show tonight in the GOO House next to Opryland Hotel, and going down to see the Marty Robbins exhibit at the Hall of Fame.
We went by the old JR Museum site and the Home Depot construction is progressing, and it is really stupid to me as there is another one less than 3 miles up (N.) the same road (Gallatin Pk). The log cabins were spared and the front of the property is for sale as the store is being built on the very back of the lot. We will be celebrating David's 18th birthday tomorrow, along with Little Jimmy Dicken's 87th. Jimmy was doing much better this week on the Opry. Well gotta run!
Merry Christmas,
Don
