Hi Geoff:

I do not recall that Jim ever sang a song that somebody else had recorded. He said he had enough of his own!

One night at the Flame Cafe a man insisted that Jim sing "I wanna hold your hand". Jim said "That is a Beatles' song, I don't do other people's songs". The man kept persisting. Finally Jim said to him "Hold your own hand!". That shut him up and the crowd laughed and applauded Jim for that statement.
