I ordered a copy of the CD a few years ago and the sound quality was poor.

Mine was released by Heartland Music / BMG Special Products, 1997. H004-28, TCD-807, U.S.A.

I wonder which release has good sound quality?

The sound on the Bear Family set is excellent, but I believe the sound was mastered a bit too fast. The LP sound sounds more "right" to my ears.

Just, looked the CD up on amazon.co.uk. It seems they don't have it in stock.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new Voicemasters release. I'm sure it will be a delight.
