In case you bypassed the opening page of my site, and came directly to the Fan Forum, I want to make sure you did not miss the fact that VoiceMasters has just released a NEW CD called "Jim Reeves: Shepherd of Love." It features 12 tracks that are absolutely stunning in their clarity and richness, with sparkling new music to make it seem as if Jim just recorded these songs yesterday!
Trust me. This is not just the "same old, same old" retreads, like everybody else puts out. Even if you are an avid collector, there is something new here for you.
Included are NEW vocals by Jim that have never been previously released.
I have been listening to these songs around our household for some weeks now as my husband Larry has worked on them (he is the producer for VoiceMasters LLC), and I think this may be the best CD yet! There was a big-time engineer brought in on this project, who has done work for a lot of the big country music and gospel stars, and he has mastered this CD.
In the past, you have only been able to listen to RealAudio samples on the promo pages, but this time you can actually hear and/or download mp3 samples. (Please note that the mp3s, while good, are not "as good as" the actual CD).
I also want you to know that we are changing our order policies. ALL U.S. ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH A DELIVERY CONFIRMATION STICKER to assure tracking/delivery of the CDs. This will improve the reliability of service, eliminating all doubt as to whether or not your order will be received, and in a timely manner. Also, all foreign orders will be confirmed through postal receipts/customs forms. If you still want insurance, there is an email link on the promo page to let me know.
This CD is so polished and so pretty, it is really big-league. Some wonderful people were involved with it, and they were working overtime, late at night, weekends and even holidays to get this finished so you could enjoy it for the Christmas season. Wesley Pritchard, whom you can see each week on those Bill and Gloria Gaither TV shows, had a direct involvement in this project, and he is singing on 5 of the tracks, along with a total of 6 other singers. It's the first time that just guys have sung on some tracks (like "Distant Drums," "He'll Have To Go," and "He Will.") Wes has sung with some of the greats in the music business. Also, wait til you hear the bass singer on some of those songs!
Milton Smith's new arrangement on "Distant Drums" is so beautiful, and there is a male chorus that sings with Jim at various points in the song. It is a orchestral arrangement.
Another highlight is "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." You are going to LOVE this new version, which is longer and in a different tempo than what VM previously put out. It is one of the best versions of the song I have ever heard by any artist! This track alone is worth the price of the CD.
I will probably have more to say about this CD later on, but I just wanted to make a few comments to underscore how wonderful this new one is. I hope you will all enjoy it.
Just click the link below to hear song samples and to place your order.
Happy Holidays! -- Julie
