To All,
Our radio friend, Mr. Bucks Braun pointed out the fact today that on his show that on Nov 29th 1961, the Grand Old Opry stars hit New York City's famed Carnegie Hall stage to show their Country stuff to the Downtown crowd. Jim was on the show in tux, with Grandpa Jones, Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb, Bill Monroe, Minnie Pearl and possibly others. I heard they did pretty good, but they had some neysayers pan them before the performance. Anyone know anymore about it? Sure wish they would make a recording of that show available, if there was one.
Regards,
Don
