Hi Again,
Another date to remember today, if they would both still be with us, it would have been Jim and Mary Reeves' 60th wedding anniversary, as they were married on this date in 1947. I called up Chubby Howard and told him this morning as he was doing the Labor Day show at the I's have it and he played My Mary in honor of the anniversary. So we should remember the union of a great couple and life partners, which still brings so much joy to us after all these years. Ironically, another of the songs that subsequently was on the same LP as My Mary, (Girls I Have Known), the Cindy Walker composition Anna Marie, was recorded 50 years ago today on their 10th wedding anniversary. Happy Anniversary Jim and Mary!
Don
