Posted by Bill Marks Please further note that the song "Please Forgive" that surfaced on the excellent "Soundies" label album "The Unreleased Hits" (DRC 12689) was a song that RCA had major problems in trying to achieve a good usable final master, and RCA tried several times to overdub & remake "Please Forgive" on 3rd January 1968 (Matrix WWA4-1727), and again made several attempts on 16th December 1970 (Matrix WWA4-1727A)& 8th January 1971(Matrix AWA4-1027/1028) even using Helen Chance as duet vocal at one stage, but no satisfactory final master was achieved. I hope that fellow Jim Reeves fans find this information useful.

With regard to the recent messages published reference Janie Frickie, please note that Janie Frickie did some of the background vocals on "Don't Let Me Cross Over" (Matrix GWA5-5363), "I've Enjoyed As Much....." (Matrix GWA5-5364) "When Two Worlds Collide" (Matrix GWA5-5365) & "I Fall To Pieces" (Matrix GWA5-5366)at the Woodland Sound Studios, Nashville. Tennessee on December 28th 1978 (15.00 - 17.00 hours) & again at the same venue on January 18th 1979 (15.00 -16.00 hours). The main vocal accompanyment with Jim on 3 of these tracks was Deborah Allen, hence the album that Janie Frickie did session work on was the album "Don't Let Me Cross Over" with Deborah Allen doing duet with Jim on the "A" side. (APLI-2720).
Regards to all.
Bill Marks.
