Hi Mike,
You are indeed a lucky guy to get to see them both, the only time i ever got to see Skeeter was way back in 1993 when she did a spot on the Grand ole Opry and of course George Hamilton IV was there too. If memory serves, he showcased his son that night and a fine performer he is too.
As to whether Jim and Skeeter ever appeared on the same bill like you i could not say but it's quite possible that they knew each other offstage as it were. Were either one of those guys still with us the tales they could tell us about those early days.
