Hi: I too am very sorry to hear about the passing of a legend. We saw Boots twice at his club in Printers Alley, think it was called the Carousel Club. He was a great showman, and like you said, a perfect gentleman. We have a couple albums by him, and I'm sure they are signed by Boots.
I hope and pray he was not on stage performing when he suffered his stroke. But at the same time he would have been doing what he loved best, performing his "yakety sax".
He will be greatly missed. In sympathy,
