The RCA one that was done so many years ago, was in my opinion over-produced and really cluttered up. Not only that, RCA for some strange reason speeded up Jim's voice, and thus changed the pitch! On the VoiceMasters version, however, Jim's voice really stands out, and you get to hear him the way he really sounded when he recorded the song. Plus the fresh new instrumental arrangement is so pretty, with the mandolin, Chet Atkins-style guitar and strings. I know that VM worked from an original tape of the song and then added the new instruments, hence it sounds fantastic. You can listen to a sample of this song for yourself by clicking the link below.
