I once saw a film at the cinema over 12 years ago ( I think it was French ) about a couple who live in a large manor house in a french village. They take in a Jewish family to protect them from the nazis. One of the children played the piano very well. The hostess of the house eventually becomes tired of having the guest family always in her house and in the end I think she tells the Nazis where to find this family. They are taken away and only the elder sister survives. One day in the future she goes to a piano concert and hears a young boy play the same pieces as her little brother used to play and I think she thinks this boy is like a reincarnation of her brother who died in the holocaust.
