My mother and l are trying to find a movie we watched years ago on SBS but unfortunetly we've forgotten the title. We think it was made in the mid to late 80's and is possibly french. At the start of the movie, you see a young boy playing violin in a park when a nazi general drives by. A lover of music he asks the boy who he is and where he's from, then realizing the boy is alone, takes him in and takes care of him at his headquarters. This enigmatic boy is in fact playing a game to save his father and now it gets a little sketchy but l remember him rifling through the general's desk and signing a paper to release his father. At the end of the movie l remember him running over the high fence to get away form the general who feeling betrayed is shooting at him as he's discovered the boy was using him. this was a great movie and l would appreciate any help as looking in other forums l have found nothing, thank you B
