I once attended a Friday night service where my Rabbi told a short story (that he thinks might be by Abraham Joshua Heschel) about a town that never wound their clocks. It is a neat allegory to "winding" our spiritual clocks. I would like to obtain a copy of this story, but I can not figure out who wrote it or in what book it might be found. Any ideas?
