Posted by Calen Shadowfax on 1/23/2006, 12:21 pm, in reply to "Wicca" I am by no means trying to discourage you but Wicca is not a faith for everyone. We don't go knocking on doors asking others "Have you heard the word of the Goddess today?" either. It takes a lot hard work but the rewards are life changing and personal to each witch. There is no way to describe some of these rewards or mysteries because they just can't be put into words. Hence the Mystery! Something has led you this far so I will help to anwser any questions you may have. My Craft name is Calen Shadowfax and I have been praticing Wicca for some time. (almost 14 years)One thing to remember that first and for most Wicca is a Religion and that casting spells is only a small fraction of what we do. So If your looking to this faith for simply shock value of being called a Witch and work magick for mundane purposes you have come to the wrong place. I have a few questions for you. How long have you been interested in Wicca? What has brought you this path? Are you an Adult or a teen? What problems have you been having with Rune Divination? as far as getting started: A book that may be helpful and was the my first book is called Wicca by Scott Cunningham. It's around $10 and can be ordered from any book store. My second book was The Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland. It was republished and I believe the price has changed to $15-$25 in that area. I suggest working With these or any other system that you feel works for you before you get into too many Tradition variences that can confuse a new seeker. I am gald to see your post and hope this helps You can always Reach me here. It may take a day or two to respond because I use a library computer. Merry Part and Blessed Be,
