that are based on domination
constantly jockeying for position
relying on psychological chicanery
& politics of need
a force fed intimacy that requires no answer
unnatural selection & counterfeit valentines
ulterior motive dripping with oily charm
& tricked out dressed to kill
preying on the fear of being alone
raging love that’s anything
but sympathetic & tender
as string of well rehearsed lines
never speaking a language of the heart
a reliance that diminishes us both
instead of forming a stronger bond
