I am trying to find details of Fanny Riding nee Burt of Carisbrooke and Newport(I.W), once living in the old Chapel House near the ford in Carisbrooke and at 10 Pyle Street, Newport from about 1920 to 1930. She was a tutor for Patrick Hogan (father was mayor of Newport later) for some years and lived at 7 Horsebridge Hill, Parkhurst. Daughter - Anne Mae Riding, married to William R.C. Wallace, a prison officer at Parkhurst. Her son was Charles Riding, born about 1895, serving with The Royal Field Artillery in what was Mesoptamia in 1915. He died from drowning. Any information on the family would be appreciated. Hilton Wallace August 27,2003.
