Dore family

I am researching my Dore family descendents. John Dore was born 3.10.1813, and baptied June 1814 at St James St. Independent Chapel, Newport. He died in 1899. John married Elizabeth Martin (1805-1867) in 1833. She had two children already - Isabella and Thomas Martin – and then went on to have

• Eleanor Jane Dore b 1837 bap 24.9.1838 at St James St. Independent Chapel, Newport m. William Edward Hook in 1857
• Amelia Dore b.1839-1915
• Alfred John Dore b. 10.4.1841Newport Died 1886 IOW m. in 1877 Bridget Miriam Rice b. 1852 Weymouth
• Eliza Mary Dore b. 1843 She had Florence Minnie Illegitimately in 1860 and then m. Richard Turnbull 1867 in Plymouth. He was a bigamist and she handed him into the police.
• Edwin Henry Dore b.1845
• Esther Elizabeth Dore 1846-1874

John Dore had two sisters, Sarah and Charlotte and a brother, Henry. Charlotte married George Sheath.

John Dore wrote a collection of poems about the Isle of Wight called Vectis Lays.

Any information on any of these people would be gratefully received.
