Hope life is treating you well. Cold as the dickens here in Chengdu, but thankfully spring comes early round these parts ('specially since the locals have yet to discover the merits of a certain western nicety we so casually denominate "heat.")
On the cusp of Chun Jie (Spring Festival) right now. Two weeks of fireworks, gaiety and wild abandon. Nothing in the world like it. Favorite part of the year.
Just got back from two weeks in "Feilubin." (Philippines). Just north of the equator, where I could trade my long underwear for a pair of shorts and flip flops. Beautiful, gentle folks without a peso in their pockets but smiles as broad as the horizon.
Still a month before school starts up, so I'm busy plotting my next great escape. Looks like either Vietnam or Thailand, whichever one comes in lowest on this teacher's budget.
How's our angel Noni doing? You see much of her lately? I swear there's an Oscar in that child's future, if only she had the right screenplay in her hands. (and you're just the man to write it).
Zhu ni yilu ping'an, Phil. (Wish you peace and prosperity in all your travels.)
Peace out!
