Last week, The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation published a story regarding a new petition initiative to change the way Social Security Disability benefits are awarded to victims of MS and other chronically disabling illnesses. They are also running a full page article about this important effort in the next issue of their quarterly magazine, MSFocus. During the past few weeks alone, the new petition has already been signed by over 1,000 MS patients, physicians, MS advocacy group leaders and members and other concerned citizens.
My goal is to gather 10,000 signatures within the next year. I am also in the process of forming a coalition panel of various MS organization leaders who will present the petition to Congress once the 10,000 signature goal has been reached. Following is a direct link to the story.
Thank you.
