I am a left leg Amputee, and have been one for some years now.I have finally found a job that I can do and enjoy. I found employment with a company in AZ. driving trucks under 28000 lbs. that are not supposed to require a special licence to drive. With the exception of a D.O.T. medical card which is pretty much standard wihin the industry. Got one no problem.Got the job no problem. Driving the truck no problem. I go thru the Truck scales at the Colorado-Utah border and they (red flagged) me saying that I have failed to obtain a S.P.E. waiver and cannot drive again until I obtain one.My company has been kind enough to give me a stack of forms to have filled out by various agencies, but past that they have been of little help other that putting me on the inactive list. I cant even find an ortopedic surgeon willing to look at me and fill out the paperwork (which is just part of the process)Is there any help out there for such a thing? I am not looking for a hand out. Just trying to get a hand up. thank you
