I had the L4/L5 disc removed in 1995 and live in constant pain, from dull to severe from siatica. When it is "that time of the month" the pain is much more severe due to the heavy bleeding I do for days. The entire right leg twitches and jerks and jumps all night, making sleep impossible. Therefore, I am too exhausted to be good for anything the next day. Sometimes this goes on for as many days as the "period". Other times the pain is caused by sitting in chairs at various places and situations. I may leave an event and be in severe pain, go home because I have to lie down. Then the twitching starts again. I just turned down the job of a lifetime due to this condition; the job required me to sit for an eight hour class for an entire week. I just couldn't do it. I knew I would be practically crippled after sitting for even 8 straight hours.
