I hope you move to the new site and keep posting.
When he says, "I don't think you will ever get over this"... how about, "You're right" as a reply?
You will never forget. You have weighed the "pros" and "cons" of staying with him and are willing to keep working on your marriage for the time being, but you will always have an "asterisk" beside your marriage.
It can still be great, though. Maybe better than ever, if your husband is finally really humbled.
