Posted by Kate Yes, the love letters. Yes, the voice. I'm a WRITER, for gosh darn sake, so writing is vitally important to me, it's what I live for. I think through my fingers on the keyboard. I would give about anything for a love letter from my husband. Never got one in 23 years -- but I know he wrote them to her, as well as all his deepest feelings. (I also know that she read my books for her own awful reasons. I am SO angry about that. I haven't written a word since.) And the voice. That was how dday happened. I wandered past our locked computer door, heard him using the sweetest voice and I knew it wasn't his brother on the other end of that voice cam. So I paused and listened -- dday. I could ask for a love letter, but I feel like you do, Augie. If I have to ask for it, what is the point? And I am too angry to write one myself. Ah well, just rambling. I guess the bottom line is, we ALL have our things that the OP got and we didn't. Like G. Gordon Liddy's trick with burning his hand in the candle-- "the trick is not minding." It's a hard trick.
