Posted by Lena Look at it another way... Perhaps it is a way the humans heal from these kinds of traumas, little by little. These (Braindead) comments come up out of the blue for no perceptible reason and wham.. your able to release another bit of pain just by speaking your truth and having her accept it. It facilitates communication and allows the energy of emotions to clear before they build up. Maybe her comments were designed to prompt you into releasing some of your remaining resentment that might be building up because of what you see lacking, based on what she gave. I have a book for you that would help you more clearly understand her behavior with OM and your behavior with her, it actually moves into a deeper understanding. It is called. "The Betrayal Bond" it talks about abuse is its many forms and how the victims can get so bonded with the perpetrator as to protect them and continue to allow themselves to be victimized while continuing to take the blame for the perpetrator on themselves. Can't say that I blame you for answering her questions that way. I doubt that she was even thinking about he A when she said it though. My H says stupid things like that too. I guess they have a way of burying the unpleasant facts of their behavior so well that inadvertant comments just come out.
