Posted by dano I can understand you both being miserable when he's out of town.... but this sentence doesn't make sense to me... "Other problem is- he feels awful being away, feels guilty and hates that I am having a hard time- so he is miserable and snappy with me." The part about him being "snappy"... that doesn't make sense. If he is truly miserable and guilty and sorry you are feeling bad, then he should be kissing your ass, near or far away. I think you should reach down, and grab a handful of that righteous anger you may have been holding back... and give him both barrels. If he is stuck taking a trip out of town, he should be spending any free time he has thanking God for the mercy you've shown so far, and praying it will continue when he gets back in town. It might be good for him to wonder if the locks on the house will be changed when he gets back, if his remaining clothes will be packed up, sitting on the front step. YOU are the one in control, now. He's shown he can't handle it by his past actions. Don't put up with a speck of "snappy"! He needs to be totally humbled by the biggest mistake he has made in his life... but it won't happen if there are no consequences. God bless, dano
