Those push the motor axis, further away from teh axle axis, allow the larger pinnion to fit... do not use larger pinion unless u use the ships correctly. The shims apear to only allow 3 settings... yet there are 4 pinnions included with the car.... the largest apears to not have a safe setting unless you just cram it on with the 2nd largest shim setting. But now that I got the manual out, it apears they have it set up so the 7T and the 8T use the same middle setting... I will scan it then add to this post.
