I have just finished the all the prototyping and have had some circuit boards made up. If you have no parts on Hand and purchace all supporting parts from radio shack you can build a three car counter for under $150. A buddy built a 1 car system for $92 then upgraded to 3 cars for an additional $25. I have complete (well mostly) instructions on my web site at http://www.mgsweb.com/rc/lapcounter/index.html
