Can I squeeze in a 120 mm rear hub

I am rebuilding my old Hutch Expert Racer to give to my 12 year old son. Not trying to restore to original, just putting together a nice ride for him to enjoy like I did. I found a nice set of wheels with 120 mm rear hub spacing. Can I squeeze that into the frame (which I beleive was meant for 110mm) or is that a bad idea?
