Lily is a sweet 15.2h dark bay TB Mare. She raced lightly before being sent to auction. She was taken from the kill pen by a young girl who took her home. The girl was unable to feed her, and by the time she ended up on my farm she was 450 lbs. underweight. I wormed her, floated her teeth, put her on a nutrition program and turned her out to be a horse for the next 6 months. We then put her back to work and she came along nicely. She was hacking around the farm and was jumping 2'6". She loves to jump and has never refused anything. We then began construction on a new facility and time became a factor in her training. Additionally, her rider is temporarily out of the irons, and Lily's reschooling came to a halt. The plan is to put her back into training in the spring when our new facility is done, but I would let her go if I could find the right match sooner.
She is a nice mare with pretty movement. I have a heart for this mare and would like to see her in a home where she'll be used to her potential. She is a bit of a handful under saddle right now, but with 30-60 days of 3-5 days per week under saddle, she'll be back to her quiet self. If you think she might be the horse for you, please let me know. I would be willing to let her go to the right home for a very reasonable/minimal price, a portion of which will be donated back to the horse rescue. I would just like to recover a little of what I have put into getting her back into shape. A good home is most important.
If you have questions, or would like to see pictures, please let me know.
Thanks,
Holly
