I have a throughbred or warmblood mare. Max is between 23-25 according to the dentist. She has excellent ground manners. No bad vices. Does have some arthritis but vet says she is ok to ride lightly. No trail rides, no jumping, no heavy running. Needs 24/7 turnout. She is an alpha female and is better off being by herself. She is barefoot, does have a slight crack in one hoof. Had her shots, coggins and dentist work this year. Will be seeing farrier soon. Max is a great mare with a sense of humor; she stands 16 hands and being a beginner, I am overwhelmed by her size and I'm alittle afraid of her. Not that she has ever done anything to make me feel this way. She hasn't been ridden in a while, I am going to have her ridden by a professonial rider to see if she has any quirks. If anyone is intrested, I would require references. Max lives 18 miles south of Ithaca, NY in the town of Spencer.
