Jack is a 13 year old Appaloosa, western pleasure horse with laminitis. I purchased him in late April, and when I asked the owner why he seemed stiff, the owner said that he needed his feet trimmed (which he did). When the farrier came nine days later, he said that the horse had laminitis. The vet (GVEC) took X-rays and said that his coffin bone has NOT ROTATATED, but he needs more X-rays and special care for at least a year. The previous owner would not take him back, or give me back my $3,000. He needs a dirt pasture, hay-only diet. I will turn over all vet records. While he is walking now, he is obviously uncomfortable. If you have experience in dealing with laminitis, you may have this horse for free. Call me at 585-704-1425.
