I'm 23 years old and have wanted to learn horseback riding and horse care since I was about 5. I have very overprotective parents who deemed that an unsafe activity. But, I just recently got married and moved to NY and now actually have the opportunity. I'm buying a house on 6 acres just south of Buffalo. What I'm looking for is a recommendation of a good place to start. Does anyone here know of a good riding stable around buffalo/hamburg where I can learn the basics? I would eventually like to own a horse of my own and be involved in rescue. I currently have rescue experience and training experience with dogs.
