Posted by Steven Wood on 12/6/2007, 10:42 pm Note that I expect it to also have a major (bad) impact on Wiggles, Playhouse Disney, Play School, the youth market shows like Shak, Idol and Popstars, etc. Steven P.S. I know its been quite a while since I last came here but this question was lingering in my mind for so long that I couldn't let go of it. Seeya.

This is a problem for broadcasters and production companies in general, but do you all think Hi-5 can survive, and even thrive, as more and more independent/home-made kids' content and especially stuff made by as well as for kids becomes available on the Internet? The variety and quality of audio and video on these short home-made kids' shows I now see popping up on YouTube is increasing every day. Can even a professionally-made show like Hi-5 survive that?
