My Sephora order arrived yesterday - finally!
I've been itching to see this Tarte palette. And it is beautiful! But one of the matte shadows (white) is partially shattered, so there's white crumbly powder all over that layer of shadows. I kind of expected this - had read reviews that the mattes in this are fragile - so I opened it carefully over the sink. And Becky's right - it's a heavy sucker, could use this thing as a doorstop, which probably contributes to it's shatter-proneness. I'm going to swing by Sephora today to see if they have a pristine palette I can exchange for - if not, it's not a huge deal, I can clean it up, will just take some time. So I'm still waiting impatiently to play with this palette. 
But this gave me a chance to play with other stuff. Laura Mercier Eye Book - 2 thumbs up. Wearing it today - the Silver Shine quad (lightest and 3rd), and Black Ebony liner. For the reviews out there that say the shadows are pigmented - I think they're wrong. At least the 2 colors I used from Silver Shine are perfect. Nice texture, smooth shimmer.
Dior Silver Purple nail polish - looks gorgeous in the bottle, will have to do my nails soon. I think I'm going to love this for fall/winter.
