Lovely to hear from you so quick Robbie and can tell you have kept your sense of humour.try this one.Did I not lend you a fiver in 57?No.Then did you lend me one? I met Alen about 18 month ago in the South Shields Missions to seamen. He was accompanied by his cousin Billy Ward who with his parents moved into 14 Campbell st after us barnshaws moved out.I asked him about the front door brass fittings which were rather beautiful and had belonged to my grandmother. He had them he told me - a rather poignant moment for me. Hey Robbie.I only discovered the Hebburn Web a few days ago,and since then my eyes are aching. One school photo intrigued me.Tiddler Wheatley was on itand others I can name.Pongo Kennedy was on another.Remember him?Lived a few doors off the top of Campbell Street. Can you also recall Zona? A quite lovely woman who had a relationship with a famous cricketer called Hardstaff who visited her, and the kids came from all over to see him. Ah nostalgia. Can't phyically see it or eat or drink it,but I've fed on it in the last few days, and will continue to do so I hope when anylising the web messages every day as I do Keep sending Robbie as Inote you have been doing. Yours pintfully John
