I once approached the council with an idea to involve Hebburn army and sea cadets in honouring the fallen . The idea was to identify all of the military graves scattered around in the cemetary and a week before Remembrance Day the cadets would place a poppy on every grave as unfortunately a lot of these graves no longer have anyone to look after them. Too much work I was told.
