Almost anything will do. Old TV xfmrs provide enough B+ for the 6L6, as the originals are hard to come by, although lots of "murdered" chassis out there in "modified" (read: butchered) rigs that are still around. I had to tear mine down to BARE sockets, and rebuild it as if it were a new kit, it was so bad.
