The radio came from an SK buddy's gear, and after I aligned it, it worked pretty well.. he used it as WNØPCM, as I have a picture of his Novice station. Best 73 - hope this helps.

Murphy's Law - I had one up until a few months ago. The EK-2 was basically similar to the Heathkit AR-2. It was AM/SW with a BFO. A white covered wooden cabinet (ala' AR-2 and AR-3) and the front panel was white with Heath green. Knobs were green. Both the EK-1 (simple multimeter) and EK-2 (build-as-you-go receiver) were part of the Heathkit Electronics Course... vintage oh, about early 70's. The receiver was built in stages; power supply, oscillator, audio amp, and so on... that way, you learned how each section worked. When you finished, you had a working AM/SW receiver.
