TA-17 amps are becoming more rare, and some enthusiasts are collecting them. See /~w0ui/family_webpage/linkpages/music/music_ta17_amp.htm as an example---this guy has three.
If you are a musician and like the amp, hold on to it and get an operation/assembly manual. I can imagine it will only grow in value.
In the 1970's I had one with two speaker cabinets. Sold it when I got married. Now that I am playing again, I regret selling it. Of course, I regret getting married, too. Anyway, one of the amps (no speaker cabinet) recently sold on eBay for less than $50. You could probably get more but again, if you are a musician, keep it as long as you can. If you need the cash, let this group know that you are interested in selling. I'm sure you'll find a buyer who really appreciates the TA-17's quality more than the average eBay buyer. Heck, I know I'd be interested!
Thanks,
Jim
