This Board costs me about $100 a year. No overwhelming bucks but money that I do not need to spend in these recessionary times.
My impression is that no one is still using it or reading it. I base that on the fact when I attempt to provoke a response from someone either by making a POLITICAL statement (not its primary purpose) or inviting a response to a clearly "haircut message" no one says anything in reply.
I'm not asking for people to be here to satisfy some "ego thing". My mental health does not depend on your collective interest. But I have continued this Board and what is the old, ancient unupdated site because every time I suggest that I might kill it someone begs me not to.
At this point I think my last recent assessment was correct. There is insufficient interest in the Board and what there is of a site to warrant continuing.
I'm begging and pleading with everyone of you in the haircut community. RELEASE ME. So I don't feel an obligation to you -- I'm part of that community as much as anyone.
You do that by whether or not you use this Board. You-yourselves must do it by using it to communicate between yourselves and not necessarily with me. You can communicate with me and I will have an opinion both about haircuts and political issues, but for me to continue this Board and site beyond another calendar year I have to see that YOU are making use of it.
If YOU want, and if you can convince others to "meet you here" then I am prepared to carry the freight ad infinitum. I just don't see it happening.
Will be watching for the next couple months. More I will watch the haircuts that turn me on and politics I agree with -- elsewhere. Either contact your friends and bring life back to this Board without my having to try to invite it, or it will be gone, which is OK WITH ME!
Either ressurect it in the next three months or I will give it up in 12. It is that simple. And again it has nothing to do with my personal "ego". At this point I'm providing "you
" the great indefinable "you" with a service. If you don't need it, OK. If you do then prove it.
