I'd spent the past decade argueing for but conflicted on the issue of military hair in a civilian environment. I had pushed the envelope but not gone "all the way". I think I was motivated to "cross the line" when youger men showed up at work with "highlights" and two days growths of beard. No one said anything even though they didn't appear "professional" by my definition.
Anyway. I am finally liberated. Unfortunately I no longer have enough hair to do anything with. But because of that I do look my best with as shaved head. I've been able to adopt it. Curt would be happy.
It is a military haircut by the number of active duty I see, but it isn't to me. But at the same time it is freedom. Now, every two weeks I sit in the barber chair and have the man clip it all to an edger, 0000, burr. Bald but not razor shaved. Let it go two weeks and you reach 1/8th inch but still a burr. A barber can't fail.
I'm living what I consider my ultimate haircut liberation.
