Have you ever anticipated going to a new barber? The excitment is almost overwhelming! Then you are disappointed big time. Walked in hoping to witness some short haircutting going on, and I am the only one there. It's ok, I can take my time with this new barber, and will walk out happy and shorn. I sit in the chair and he asks me: "What are we doing today?" I say, I would like a high and tight shaved with the razor, and the top buzzed with a #3 blade". Since I am thinning on top, he says that it would be best if we left the top alone, it would look better, but we'll see, once you cut it, you can't put it back. At this point I really wanted to walk out! Well, he started with the sides and the back barely going up to the middle of my head. He did a decent blending, but by now I feel I am not going to plead with him; Even the outline shaving was done with a dull razor,what a freaking downer!! I ended up with what you might call a low reg. I was not happy and certainly not shorn. I can either give myself the haircut I was so much anticipating, or I can wait until next week and go to Ayer MA. where they know how to give a military haircut, and you walk out with a sharp, shaved smooth high and tight. Indeed happy and shorn!!
