Other women barbers in the area are generally pretty good and in fact noted for short cuts. These are New York State licensed barbers, not cosmetologists, so they've gone through the regular barber training. When I saw their hair, though--and when two of them repeatedly looked at me like they wondered why I was there--I should have taken the cue to walk out. The third one was working on a brush cut that looked pretty decent when it was done, but while one of the first two butchered me the other was doing straight buzzes purely by the numbers.
