bad timing but good cut

I decided not to wait until Tuesday and went to try out Steve's A Cut Above today. Turns out Steve was on vacation this week, so I didn't get to meet him this time. His partner Joe works evenings and Saturdays. He did an expert job of carving a flattop out of the not quite half-inch I had on top, and he even treated me like a real person, making comments and suggestions respectfully and paying attention to exactly what I wanted. Since he and Steve work different hours, I can go try out Steve on a weekday morning next time to see how they compare.
