It's funny, it didn't really strike me until today that I'm not sitting here seeing my reflection all day anymore. I guess that's part of what I was saying last month about getting more used to being bald than I ever was before. I had to actually get up and go to the bathroom when I wanted to see how I looked. I wonder if, not seeing it all the time, I'll wind up thinking about my hair more or less. I sure hope it's less, since one of the reasons I went ahead with shaving it off was that I was getting tired of thinking about when and how I'd get my hair cut all the time.

That dull old Norelco went to good use this morning: tightening up the sides so I feel like I have an actual haircut rather than just a film of stubble. I didn't want to shave the sides clean while I'm getting adjusted to hair again, but it was getting just to that length where it starts to look like a dull smudge, so chopping the sides down to a day's growth was just right. By tomorrow it'll be filled in on top and still look clean on the sides.
