Posted by Gunny If it is not clear I am not a politician (with any hope of election) nor any person "of power" precisely because of what the above message says. I could never smile and shake this president's hand as though there were no difference between us. It may cast me as a genuine radical. It may make many of you think less of me. But it is a fact. I would NEVER, if invited, kiss the ring, bow the head or even shake the hand of this man. I'm with Patrick Henry, "Give me Liberty or Give Me Death". This drunken (formerly), now Evangelical Protestant fundamentalist, with fewer synapses in the brain than there are cellulose channels in the Maples that will soon be offering sap, who speaks the English language more poorly than many integrated Hispanics, is more dangerous to American values than was the Austrian house painter who rose to lift the down trodden Germans from their roots in the late 20's. HE is a laughable FARCE. I'd shake his hand for one reason and one reason only -- if given the chance I'd want to say -- "Do you understand the concept of invincible ignorance? I do." With that I'd shake his hand but regret having to do so. The man and his supporters will never change. The salvation of this country is to turn the tide. We can do this by turning only 5% from the last election. Imgine the differences in the world if the Weimar Republican supporters had managed the same. Hitler would never have been Chancellor. WWII and the Holocost would never have occurred. The "sides" are divided virtually equally. But in this society a MAJORITY can rule -- at least I don't think they have succeeded in taking that away. My appeal is to those who do not see the Bush as a threat. My appeal is to those who are independents and vote Republican. We need you. You vote. Your single vote is significant. One percent less for the norm and one percent in favor of a new order means a 2 percent change in the vote. Vote to save the country!!!

It ought to be clear to anyone from what I wrote above that even should I inherit millions tommorrow and become ipso facto a Republican and "on the list" for a welcome to the White House that I would not be so invited.
