Well, to each his own. I was a teen in the 1970's and also went to a military academy 70-73. Then I transfered to a very good public high school in California where the Dean of Boys had a policy of requiring a "deviant card" for young guys with hair over their ears. I got one. We are really reaching when we think that all guys should have short hair. It sure worked with me, and I look and feel better with traditional military "all guy" barbering. But maybe not for everyone. I'm a Californian by birth and nature, and can't seem to get past the ethos. We DO have something to contribute to the national dialogue- DO IT. Just don't mess with anyone along the way. The interest in traditional barbershop is alive and well here on the Coast. Butch wax sales are probably way up Barberwood.
